ROUWCENTRUM MERCKX, LEBBEKE
I had the pleasure of designing the showroom, meeting room and office for Rouwcentrum Merckx. On the first visit I noticed that the coffins played a very prominent role in their arrangement. For many people this can be very confronting when walking in. I also wanted to evoke a more homely feeling so that people feel more at ease.

By working with light colours and wood, I want everything to look fresh and contemporary. The wooden slats give a division to the showroom without making it feel smaller. The slatted wall also conceals the coffins in a subtle way, but they remain present in the room.
Sufficient space is also provided to display all products for customers.
